MVG had their October 2025 meeting in the park. There was food, fun, and a gear exchange!
The Jefferson County Leader featured a front page article on MVG and MCKC’s efforts to protect Pleasant Valley Cave. Extra kudos to MVG member, Tony Schmitt, for making this happen.
In April 2025, MVG members clean another cave. Spray paint and trash were removed.
MVG Cavers, while exploring the Ozark hills discovered seven new caves.
At the March 2025 meeting, PHD student, Soren Johnson gave a great presentation on cave fish evolution.
Gravimeters, zero length springs, and gravity can be used to find caves.
Brian Wilcox of Meramec State Park and friend of the Meramec Valley Grotto received the Gregory Tex Yokum Award at the spring Missouri Speleological Survey meeting.

In October 2022, the National Cave Rescue Commission hosted a two day cave rescue training at Berome Moore Cavern in Perryville, MO. Many MVG members attended. Pictures compliments of Rob Lawson.
